If you are not sure what is this day all about, let us give you some insight into what is planned for St Patrick’s Day 2015.

First of all for St Patrick’s Day is dedicated to the Patron Saint of Ireland. People usually wear something green as it is symbolic to Ireland. You will be able to see a lot of people with green face paint, hats and shamrocks attached to their clothes.
London will host floats parades representing 32 counties of Ireland, so expect to see a lot of people enjoying with fabulous sight.  As St Patrick’s Day is on the 17th of March, the parade will take place on the closest Sunday, which is on the 15th of March. It will start from Green Park, close to Hyde Park Corner via Trafalgar Square and will end in White Chapel. There will be plenty of fun with Irish food markets, children’s theatres and much more.

“There are no real surprises in the top 10,” said artist Bernard Canavan, a respected voice on London’s Irish history. "Cricklewood, Willesden, West Hampstead, Irish people traditionally settled in the north west postcodes for work reasons, there was easier access to the motorways to the north so people settled north.”

For this reason, Willesden Green is the best place to stay for St. Patrick's Day. And there are some traditional Irish Pubs in this area.
